E! News has confirmed that Neal McDonough will join the CW’s adaptation of the Green Arrow for it’s fourth season.
McDonough, well-known for his role in Band of Brothers, has taken a more villainous approach to acting lately with bad guy roles in Justified and Red 2.
He’s also quite familiar with the trend of comic adaptations lately; having portrayed the Marvel character Dum Dum Dugan in 2011’s Captain America and a more recent short for Agent Carter.
McDonough also voiced the Green Arrow for a DC Showcase in 2010; which the CW has adapted into Arrow.
This time around McDonough will play Damien Darhk, a mysterious villain who has an adversarial relationship with the League of Assassins and Ra’s Al Ghul, his former group and leader.
In Arrow, Darhk will head the antagonistic organization H.I.V.E.
