Summer TV on broadcast networks has progressed over the years from reruns to frothy reality shows like Survivor to popcorn fare like Under the Dome . But perhaps the most fully evolved species roaming the summer landscape is the absorbing NY Med, ABC’s documentary series set largely inside New York-Presbyterian Hospital which has just returned with a second season.
