Abigail Breslin has learned what it means to send a tweet you regret. The Little Miss Sunshine star thought she was harmlessly tweeting when she posted modified lyrics of Taylor Swift’s “Blank Space.” Addressing her 169,000 followers, the 18-year-old Breslin tweeted and has since deleted, “Cuz darling I’m a nightmare dressed like an emotionally unstable cat lady.” In the hook, 24-year-old Swift sings, “Cuz darling I’m a nightmare dressed like a daydream.” Media outlets quickly jumped on the actress’ tweet claiming that she was calling Swift an “unstable cat lady,” but Breslin since has refuted the allegations against her. She followed up with another tweet, posting, “to clarify: my tweet earlier quoting a taylor swift lyric was me saying I AM AN EMOTIONALLY UNSTABLE CAT LADY. NOT TAYLOR. JSYK.”
Apparently that wasn’t enough, though, as she also discussed the tweet-gone-wrong in an interview with HuffPost Live.
