NBC has had a big year, rebounding 33% in viewers moving from fourth to second and jumping from third place to first among young adults, even when excluding the winter Olympics. Fall will bring new dramas starring Katherine Heigl as a CIA presidential briefer (State of Affairs) and Debra Messing as a detective and harried mom (The Mysteries of Laura), and the return of triple-threat Sunday Night Football, The Voice and The Blacklist, last season’s No. 1 newcomer.
