Six-year-old Owen Lake suffered a terrible mishap at the airport when he accidentally misplaced his best friend, a stuffed tiger named “Hobbes.” Hobbes was lost when Owen and his family were traveling to Houston from Tampa. His mom, Amanda Lake, called the Tampa International Airport to see if the staff could possibly help, as Owen was distraught by the loss of his friend. The TIA staff sprang into action, and the cuddly tiger was soon located in the children’s play area. However, the stuffed companion was going to have to hang tight at the airport until his owner came home to claim him — so Airport Operations Center manager Tony D’Aiuto had the brilliant idea of taking Hobbes on an “airport adventure” and snapping photos to show Owen when his family came home.
