Twenty-two years ago today, Alan Jackson’s “Chattahoochee” climbed its way to the top of the country charts, kickstarting its reign as one of the Nineties’ biggest summertime anthems. Jackson revisited that song this morning, when he made an early-bird appearance on the Today Show to celebrate the release of his newest album, Angels and Alcohol. Jackson is wrapping up a half-year’s worth of tour dates and promo appearances in support of Angels and Alcohol, which hits stores today. Making the most of his current stay in New York City, he also appeared on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon earlier this week, performing the new album’s title track.
