Albert Hammond Jr.’s video for “Born Slippy” is a rapid-fire montage of images spanning the vastness of nature and human existence. Directed by Justyna Hammond Jr., the musician’s wife, the video compiles glimpses of buzzing bees, astronauts, alarm clocks, falling rose petals and animated kissing lips into a trippy barrage complementing the song’s interlocking electric guitar lift-off. Hammond Jr. sings over glistening math-rock riffs, “Sometimes the sun goes behind the clouds. You forget the warmth that could be found.” Hammond Jr. is a member of the band The Strokes. “Born Slippy” is the first single from the Strokes guitarist’s third solo LP, Momentary Masters. It’s out July 31st, via Vagrant Records.
