Glastonbury Festival is, pretty much, the most fun you can have in the UK. An extended carnival of music, dance, theatre, comedy, food, lifelong memories and unparalleled people watching, it blows most other festivals out of the water.
Aside from the obvious, what’s worth your time this year? You could re-live the weekend several times over and have a different experience every time, but here are a few ideas for navigating the event.
Friday head east to the Healing Field and Green Futures regions, a network of small, quiet and chilled out fields where massages are given out under wind chimes and the food is organic, mostly vegetarian, and perfect to set you up for several days in the field.
There’s some excellent heritage rock and indie lined up for mid-evening Saturday, but your best bet is probably to head to the Pyramid Stage for Pharrell Williams at 8 p.m. to get a good spot ahead of Kanye West’s headline slot at 10:15 p.m..
Sunday night promises The Chemical Brothers, Donovan, Franz Ferdinand with Sparks and Buzzcocks among others but the ones to watch are The Who
