Angela Bassett will portray Six in Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege, the latest installment of the Rainbow Six video game franchise.
The franchise features some hyper-realistic motion-capture work.
Mashable spoke to Bassett at this year’s E3, a gaming conference held in Los Angeles. She said she became interested in the role after discovering that Six had never been portrayed by a woman before. The veteran actress also has plenty of experience playing strong female characters, including voodoo queen Marie Laveau on American Horror Story: Coven.
Judging from the game’s promotional clips, Bassett’s portrayal is spot-on.
