Is there anything Anna Kendrick can’t do?
After Universal Pictures’ Pitch Perfect 2 debuted at No. 1 with an estimated $70.3 million—more than its predecessor earned in its entire theatrical run—the actress’ options are unlimited. Given the recent rise of all-female reboots (Ghostbusters, 21 Jump Street), Kendrick opted to star in the next Indiana Jones movie—or, as it’s now being called, Indianna Jones. See what she did there? Kendrick sure is clever.
Kendrick isn’t actually starring in Indianna Jones and the Last Crusade, but she certainly looks the part in a promotional sketch for NBC’s Red Nose Day. The three-hour, star-studded charity event airs this Thursday at 8 p.m. ET.
In the sketch, Kendrick’s character reimagines the Grail Room scene from Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade , in which Indiana must choose wisely which cup is really the Holy Grail or face certain death. While there, she confronts the Templar Knight, who has guarding the Grail for more than 700 years.
