It’s the day many soap opera fans were absolutely dreading. After 28 years of playing Luke Spencer, actor Anthony Geary’s final episode on General Hospital aired Monday afternoon. While fans had almost three months to prepare for the emotional farewell, today’s episode still provided plenty of feels for loyal watchers of the Emmy winning series. In the final hour, Luke made amends with his daughter Lulu after confessing to mobster Sonny Corinthos that it felt right to leave Port Charles for good. Putting reviews aside, Geary is looking forward to a few months away from the Hollywood scene. During a recent interview with Nightline, the eight-time Emmy winner teased his plans for once cameras stopped rolling. He shared, “I’ll spend the summer on my boat and my bicycle and go back into my language classes. I’ve been writing, so I’m going to concentrate on a book.”
