Anthony Head has said he still hopes the plans for a Buffy The Vampire Slayer spin-off about his character Rupert Giles go ahead as a stand-alone film. The Dominion star admitted Buffy creator Joss Whedon was a little too busy to go ahead with his plans for Ripper – which takes its title from the Watcher’s nickname – as a full series now, but has not given up on it completely. Joss is now busy working on The Avengers movie series while Anthony is playing villain David Whele in hit Syfy series Dominion, which is made in the US.
