Most people don’t get married on Mondays.
Then again, Ashley Tisdale and Christopher French aren’t most people. The celebrity couple wed just outside Santa Barbara, Calif., on Sept. 8, following a 13-month engagement. When the High School Musical tar, 29, phoned in to Ryan Seacrest’s KIIS-FM radio show Tuesday, the host, 39, jokingly asked her if she decided to get married on a Monday to “throw people off” or if she was “bargain shopping.” Ashley said, “It definitely was for two reasons. The 8th was our anniversary so I wanted to land on an 8th, and thankfully it landed on a Monday in September. Also, I figured it was a good idea, because I figured out like, ‘Oh, I don’t think anybody would figure this one out,’ and that was to protect the privacy of it.”
