MTV caught up with Jesse Eisenberg while promoting his new movie The End Of The Tour and asked him about his portrayal of Lex Luthor in Zack Snyder’s Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice. “It’s a really great character. There’s an emotional core to this Lex Luthor. It’s not a silly villainous character.” In response to whether Eisenberg had looked back at any of Gene Hackman’s performance as Lex Luthor in the Superman films that starred Christopher Reeve, Eisenberg replied, “No, it is an entirely different thing, the tone of that movies is so different, like that movie wouldn’t be made now. The way we expect movies to be now is to have some kind of psychological accuracy.”
