Mashable has confirmed that actor Benedict Cumberbatch and wife Sophie Hunter have given birth to a newborn son.
A name has not yet been announced.
A spokesperson for Cumberbatch told Mashable, “Benedict Cumberbatch and Sophie Hunter are delighted to announce the arrival of their beautiful son.”
They added, “we would kindly ask everyone to respect the family’s privacy during these next few precious weeks.”
The couple announced that they were expecting in January.
They wed on Valentine’s Day in Mottistone on England’s Isle of Wight.
