Country superstars Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert reportedly are divorcing after four years of marriage.
Shelton is said to have filed papers to end the union some time ago and an Oklahoma judge is expected to finalize the split on Monday, according to TMZ.com.
The estranged couple is allegedly sticking to the terms of its prenuptial agreement, which grants Shelton a ranch in Oklahoma, while Lambert will receive ownership of the pair’s home in Nashville, Tenn.
The stars, who wed in 2011, released the following statement to Us Weekly: “This is not the future we envisioned. And it is with heavy hearts that we move forward separately. We are real people, with real lives, with real families, friends and colleagues. Therefore, we kindly ask for privacy and compassion concerning this very personal matter.”
This was Shelton’s second marriage – he was previously married to Kaynette Gern for three years until 2006.
