Fresh off his stint hosting Saturday Night Live, Blake Shelton has reportedly been cast in an upcoming Adam Sandler movie. According to the Wrap, the country singer will make his film debut in Ridiculous 6, a spoof of Westerns such as The Magnificent Seven. Sources tell the entertainment site that Shelton will play Wyatt Earp, a real-life lawman from the Old West who has been portrayed in a handful of books and movies, including 2012’s Wyatt Earp’s Revenge. Set to begin production in February, Ridiculous 6 will be the first in a series of films Sandler is making exclusively for Netflix. The comedian inked a deal with the streaming video company last fall, to produce and star in four original movies.
