In only its second weekend in release, X-Men: Days of Future Past has become the top-grossing title in the 20th Century Fox and Marvel superhero franchise, not accounting for inflation. Directed by Bryan Singer, Days of Future Past took in $128.2 million globally in its second weekend for a world total of $500.2 million through Sunday, eclipsing the $459.4 million grossed by X-Men: The Last Stand in May 2006.
