Brad Pitt was assaulted on the red carpet last night at the Los Angeles premiere of Maleficent. The actor, who was signing autographs at the time, was accosted by a man who hopped over a barrier and punched the World War Z star in the face. The man, said Officer Nuria Vanegas of the Los Angeles Police Department, was identified as Ukrainian “prankster” Vitalii Seduik (the same culprit who attempted to crawl under America Ferrera’s dress at the Cannes Film Festival), apparently “jumped over the barricades and made contact with Brad Pitt.” Pitt was unharmed and after taking a break to re-group with partner Angelina Jolie, the actor returned to the red carpet but did not speak to the press.
