U.S. reality TV star Bristol Palin, daughter of 2008 Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin, has called off her wedding to her fiance Dakota Meyer just days before the ceremony. The politician took to Facebook.com to announce her daughter’s sad news that her nuptials on Saturday will not go ahead. She writes on the social network site, “Bristol and Dakota couldn’t be more thankful for the love and support of family and friends over the past months while preparing for their wedding. They have informed loved ones that unfortunately the announced celebration planned for May 23 will not be held.”
