Bruce Willis is to star in a Chinese-language World War II epic billed as one of the most expensive films produced by China’s movie industry. Called “The Bombing,” the film takes place in the city of Chongqing and recreates Japan’s continual air-raids and bombings that killed more than 11,000 people from 1938 to 1943, reports Variety. In the film, Willis plays an American volunteer fighter pilot who teaches a Chinese trainee, played by South Korean actor Song Seung-Heon, how to fly.
