Last Wednesday, Katherine Heigl sued New York City based drug store chain Duane Reade for $6 million for tweeting a paparazzi image of herself carrying two Duane Reade shopping bags, along with the following text: “Love a quick #DuaneReade run? Even @KatieHeigl can’t resist shopping #NYC’s favorite drugstore.” Now, those not up to speed on right to privacy laws may be thinking, “That’s absurd!” Well, as ridiculous as it might sound, Heigl does not necessarily have a bad argument. In fact, she likely has a winning argument. It may not ultimately be worth $6 million, but she’s got a good case nonetheless.
