Film distributor The Orchard announced they have acquired the North American rights to Joachim Trier’s Louder Than Bombs, starring Gabriel Byrne, Jesse Eisenberg and Isabelle Huppert
The film — which debuted in competition at the Cannes Film Festival — was written by Trier and Eskil Vogt.
Louder also stars Amy Ryan and David Strathairn.
The film centers on a father and his two sons as they cope with the death of their wife and mother, respectively.
Paul Davidson, Senior VP of Film and TV for The Orchard called it, “quiet affecting film making at it’s best.”
The deal was negotiated by The Orchard’s Danielle DiGiacomo with UTA Independent Film Group.
