A film adaptation of best-selling author Gillian Flynn’s “Dark Places” stars Academy Award winner Charlize Theron as a woman revisiting a brutal family murder. Theron plays Libby, a woman who, 25 years after her mother and sisters were brutally killed, confronts the tragic events of that night. Theron not only acts, but produces the movie. Theron’s character investigates whether her jailed brother Ben, portrayed by Corey Stoll, was responsible for the killings. Cheron’s character’s mother is played by “Mad Men” actress Christina Hendricks.
The film also stars “X-Men” actor Nicholas Hoult and “Kick-Ass” actress Chloe Grace Moretz.
