Could you imagine Charlize Theron playing Christian Grey’s Mrs. Robinson-like former lover in Fifty Shades Darker? Well, don’t think too hard about it because it doesn’t sound like that’s happening anytime soon. At the premiere of her new thriller Dark Places, out in theaters on Aug. 7, the Oscar winner opened up to dish the truth behind the persistent rumor that she’s been cast in the Fifty Shades of Grey sequel as Elena Lincoln, a friend of Christian Grey’s mother who first introduced him to S&M when he was only 15 years old. Theron cracked, “I hadn’t heard that one. Wow! I’m going to play the kinky guy with the room. I need to stretch. I need to find something outside of the box.”
