The Chelsea Lately host was so convinced by Uzo Aduba’s performance that initially, she couldn’t differentiate the actress from her character. Or, as she told the Emmy nominee on Thursday’s show, “I really did think you had something wrong with you!”
Uzo was amused, laughing wholeheartedly at the late-night host, who clarified, “Now I see you in real life, and I’m like, ‘Oh my god, you’re actually like a female! You’re sweet with a dress on, and you can talk.’ I thought you were crazy!”
Things took another interesting turn when Chelsea asked about the ladies’ real-life prison pasts. The late-night host also dug deep finding out the details of the “abandoned children’s psychiatric ward” where Orange Is the New Black is shot, with Uzo admitting it’s a rather creepy work environment.
