Chris Rock is a comedian who pushes boundaries, and that was certainly true when he returned to Saturday Night Live as host this weekend.
In his opening monologue, Rock, who was a cast member on the show from 1990-93, made jokes that touched on the 2013 Boston marathon bombings and the 2001 terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center. While some of his edgy material drew laughter and applause from the studio audience, there were portions that were met only with nervous chuckles.
