Mad Men’s Christina Hendricks has found her follow-up role. The Hollywood Reporter has learned that the Emmy nominee has joined the cast of the Sundance TV drama Hap and Leonard. Based on the book series by Joe Lansdale, the six-episode series centers on a pair of best friends and martial arts experts Hap Collins, who is played in the series by James Purefoy and Leonard Pine, who is played by Michael K. Williams. In the flick, the pair struggle through misadventure in a bid to stay on the right side of the law in 1980 East Texas. Hendricks will star as Hap’s ex-wife Trudy, who resurfaces after two years with a proposition that he can’t refuse. Equal parts funny and shocking, the drama offers a side-eyed look into race, class and friendship.
