Cilla Black’s status as a national treasure was reinforced on Sunday when she became the recipient of the special award at the Baftas. The 70-year-old was honoured for her 50 years in the industry – and she admitted she couldn’t quite believe the standing ovation she received from the audience at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane.
