During a recent interview with Humanity Magazine, Courtney Love proclaimed she is the last chick played on alternative radio.
Love added that, “it’s really kind of stupid.”
However, earlier this year, the song “Beggin For Thread,” recorded and performed by Banks hung in the top 20 of Billboard’s alternative chart.
That recording artist, born Jillian Rose Banks, is also a chick.
Her hit single peaked just under the top-10 starlight, reaching 11 as it’s highest mark on the chart; it remained on the list for 12 weeks.
Though Love noted during the interview that the famed state KROQ in Los Angeles occasionally plays a track by No Doubt or Paramore.
But it would appear the 50-year-old rocker is no longer tuning in herself, as Banks’ single still hit’s the LA radio waves on KROQ’s frequency.
