Chevy Metal’s show at Thousand Oaks, California’s Conejo Valley Days Carnival turned into a full-fledged Foo Fighters concert as drummer Taylor Hawkins’ all-covers side project welcomed Foos’ Dave Grohl and Chris Shiflett.
Playing at the festival’s prestigious Rock and Roll Pizza stage on May 9th, the beefed-up Chevy Metal blistered through a wide variety of classic tunes.
Despite featuring three Foo Fighters, the band didn’t perform anything from the Sonic Highways crew.
Dave Grohl, Foo Fighter’s frontman, joked “I’m just a rhythm guitar player in this band, but Taylor makes me sing once in a while,”
