Outside the Ed Sullivan Theatre, a massive dumpster contains what used to be the set of the Late Show with David Letterman.
Letterman capped his late night entertainment career on Wednesday, saying bye to his fans and then partying at the Museum of Modern Art and an Irish pub. After the farewell, Late Show staffers returned on Thursday morning to clean out their offices. Within hours, the entire set had been dismantled and the now-unnecessary wood and other materials were chucked into the bin.
