Emily Eavis says she received death threats after booking Kanye West to headline Glastonbury.
More than 130,000 people have signed a petition protesting his appearance – seven years after Jay-Z became the first rapper to headline the festival.
Eavis, who organises the festival with her father Michael, said she had become accustomed to her decisions being criticised – with fans expressing outrage when Metallica and The Rolling Stones were booked for the event in 2014 and 2013. She said “It was not a pleasant world we unwrapped. But Kanye West is making the most exciting music at the moment.”
