Last night Vic Mensa made waves with a freestyle wherein he takes subliminals at Travi$ Scott, more or less calling him “corny” and fake. But now the heat may be on him, too, as it’s come to light that “U Mad,” his head-banging collaboration with Kanye West, bears an extremely striking resemblance to a song by French rapper Monsiuer Ice, which was released one year ago. In the same Scott-dissing freestyle, Vic expressed disdain towards those who would say “U Mad” is a direct product of Kanye-influence, arguing that while Ye’s his guy, he had already made the song before they started messing with each other musically. Meanwhile Ice responded to a tweet asking if Vic indeed swaggerjacked him by replying “”with total impunity.”
