“I thought I told you that we won’t stop,” Diddy has routinely reminded everyone since the 1990s, and on Sunday at the BET Awards he delivered on that mantra in full force with a star-studded Bad Boy Records medley.
The performance, celebrating the label’s 20th anniversary, featured Lil’ Kim, 112, Mase, Faith Evans, French Montana, Pharrell as well as verses from the late Notorious B.I.G.
The artists raced through many nostalgia-inducing hits, including “Can’t Nobody Hold Me Down,” “Feel So Good,” “Peaches & Cream,” “I Need a Girl (Part 2)” and “Love Like This.” During “It’s All About the Benjamins,” Diddy notably fell through a floor door that later was used for Lil’ Kim’s grand entrance. Inciting the loudest cheers, she killed the song’s fourth verse with the fierce force she possessed when the track first dropped in 1997.
