Composer J. Ralph has created an original piece of music called “Theodora” that celebrates sharks and will have its world premiere as part of Discovery Channel’s Shark Week, which kicks off July 5.
The six-and-half-minute piece features the London Symphony Orchestra, the London Voices Choir and violinist Joshua Bell and was recorded at the Abbey Road Studios in London with Ralph and Arthur Pingrey producing.
“Theodora” will become available on the microsite SharksRescored.com, which will go live July 5, and will also be released by Sony Classical and Rumor Mill Records in early July. During Shark Week, Discovery will air Sharks Rescored, a documentary about Ralph’s composition, and an extended cut of the doc also will be featured at SharksRescored.com.
