Doctor Who fans can now get their first look at the eighth series of the popular BBC show, which now stars Peter Capaldi as the Twelfth Time Lord. The full trailer, which debuted during Sunday’s FIFA World Cup Final broadcast, comes nearly one year after the BBC announced that Capaldi would be filling in the Doctor’s shoes for Matt Smith. The world first met Capaldi in Doctor form on Christmas Day 2013, when the BBC aired its series seven Christmas special. In Sunday’s teaser, the Doctor’s companion Clara, played by Jenna Coleman, boldly declares she doesn’t think she knows “who the Doctor is anymore” while the Time Lord announces they’re going “into darkness.”
