Donny Osmond’s September concert schedule is having a bit of shake-up.
The 57-year-old performer announced today, via his rep, that he will soon undergo vocal surgery after a “hemorrhagic polyp (or bleeding lesion)” was discovered on his right vocal cord.
Harvard Medical School’s Dr. Steven M. Zeitel, who has performed the same procedure for Adele, Sam Smith and Lionel Richie, will operate on Osmond in the near future, The upcoming surgery will put a number of Osmond’s solo September engagements on hold, but he is expected to return to the stage at the Flamingo Hotel in October for the long-running “Donny & Marie” Las Vegas show.
