Days before Season 5 of Downton Abbey is set to finish airing in the United Kingdom, the show has been renewed for another season. PBS announced that the beloved British soap will be returning for Season 6, which will go into production next year. Downton Abbey’s fifth season will begin airing in the United States on Jan. 4, 2015.
