You see, Meek performed in Toronto last night amid speculation that he either got held up at the border, or wasn’t performing at all. Well, he did perform, and now he’s going to wake up with cold in his eyes wild confused as he looks at the cover art for “Back to Back.” Toronto’s Joe Carter beating the Philadelphia Phillies with a walk-off homer in Game 6 of the 1993 World Series prefaces Meek’s dismantling. Meek is a battle rapper that sharpened his sword on the streets of Philly, he called Drake out, and now has to face the consequences. This is what battle rappers do. It would be silly to believe he didn’t see this coming. He’s getting what he wanted.
