Five years ago after the Reading and Leeds Festivals, fans of the Libertines saw light at the end of a daunting tunnel.
Their beloved band had reunited.
Back then, having not played a show in five years following their climactic break-up, the rejoice was real thought it would not last.
Another four years slipped by before the current reunion began a year ago.
Though they were playing again, one had to wonder if new music loomed on the horizon.
Now, eleven years after the release of their second album, The Libertines are preparing to publish, Anthems for Doomed Youth, a 12-track LP.
The album will be available for pre-order in the U.S. on July 24.
