Miguel Arteta will direct the movie adaptation of Jennifer Niven’s young-adult romance “All the Bright Places,” with Elle Fanning starring.
Demarest Media will finance and produce the picture alongside Mazur/Kaplan, who brought the package to them.
The novel centers on a girl who learns to live from a boy, who intends to die. Random House Children’s Books/Knopf Books for Young Readers published the novel earlier this year, and it’s currently No. 5 on the New York Times bestseller list. Arteta most recently directed “Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day.” He also helmed “Cedar Rapids” and “Youth in Revolt.”
