The producers of the Emily Dickinson documentary “Phosphorescence: Words Into Shining Light” are launching a Kickstarter campaign to complete the film, narrated by Cynthia Nixon.
The documentary, from U.K.-based production company Hurricane Films, is a companion movie to the recently wrapped Dickinson biopic “A Quiet Passion,” directed by Terence Davies and starring Nixon. “It’s an honor and a joy to get to narrate her life story in ‘Phospherescence,’” Nixon said. The documentary will explore Dickinson’s life in mid 1800s New England using recovered letters and then-unpublished poems as an entry point.
