The nominations are in for the 2015 Academy Awards! And while a year rarely goes by without any snubs and surprises, this year seems to be teeming with first-time Oscar nominees. Several Hollywood stars are being honored by the Academy for their performances on the big screens this year for the first time which will undoubtedly make for an exciting night. Steve Carell, Benedict Cumberbatch and Golden Globe winner Michael Keaton will all compete for Best Actor, alongside fellow first-timer Eddie Redmayne. And as for the ladies, Emma Stone, Rosamund Pike, Keira Knightley and Patricia Arquette are just some of Tinseltown’s finest who were given the high honor.
