The Emmy nominations are on the move. The Television Academy announced Tuesday that the nominations announcement will move back three hours, to 8:30 a.m. Pacific Time on July 16. They said in a statement, “The Academy believes this new time — one that saves everyone getting up so early in the morning for the nominations ceremony — reflects this sensibility and is a forward-looking and effective way to kick off the Emmy season.”
This marks the first time the timing for the nominations has changed in recent years. Emmy winner Uzo Aduba from Orange Is the New Black and Emmy nominee John Stamos will present the nominations for the 67th Primetime Emmy Awards from the SilverScreen Theater at the Pacific Design Center. Academy of Television Arts & Sciences chairman and CEO Bruce Rosenblum will join them for the live ceremony, which will be produced by Spike Jones, Jr. for the fifth year.
