A fan of Ryan Gosling’s leading lady immediately commented, “I read somewhere where those were shorts from your 20s and that you tore the sides for the movie!”
Mendes, who often takes the time to respond to those who reach out to her via social media, confirmed by writing, “Yes! Totally true!”
The 41-year-old added, “I had to get skinny for the role because my character required it, so I actually fit into them. Last time I wore them was when I was 19!”
