The loss of original director Edgar Wright made many fans nervous about the future of Marvel Studios’ Ant-Man — and, it turns out, some of the cast, as well. Evangeline Lilly , who plays Hope Van Dyne in the movie, confessed that Wright’s departure almost led to her leaving the movie as well. “Oh man, when they got rid off — not got rid of, but when Edgar and Marvel decided to part ways, I was nervous, and I kind of held off from signing my contract because I actually wanted to wait and see what would happen,” Lilly admitted.
