Cougar Town is welcoming a teen pop sensation when it returns for its sixth and final season: Cody Simpson. E! News has learned that the Australian singer will be guest-starring on the TBS hit’s upcoming season, and he’s playing a mini-Beady Eyes, sort of! In the episode, Simpson will play Pete, a high school student who bears a very strong resemblance to Grayson in both looks and behavior, in his acting debut. Tread carefully, Jules. Tread very carefully! Simpson teased fans with his upcoming appearance, posting a dapper photo on Twitter with the caption, “Sparked a little acting flame.” For the final season, the cul-de-sac crew will be down a member as original cast member Brian Van Holt (aka Bobby Cobb) will be leaving the series in the season six premiere, per TV Line. Cougar Town returns in early 2015.
