A fabled time in rock history is reaching an age humans can’t follow.
With 50 years now separating 1965 and the present, the musicians that brought rock n’ roll psychedelic sounds and a progressive style have precious little time left in life.
For Roger Waters and Nick Mason, the two remaining founding members of Pink Floyd, the 50th anniversary of their bands formation has been a personal and formal honor.
Held at London’s University of Westminster, the rhythm section unveiled an honorary plague commemorating where the band formed.
Waters and Mason, the bassist and drummer respectively, attended the school known at the time as Regent Street Polytechnic.
Though Waters and Mason appeared friendly at the 50th anniversary ceremony, that doesn’t mean a Pink Floyd musical reunion is in the works.
Waters told the Times UK. “time becomes more and more precious and in my view should be entirely devoted to doing the things you want to do.”
