Ridley Scott’s The Martian is on the move. The 20th Century Fox film, starring Matt Damon, has relocated from the crowded Thanksgiving week to an Oct. 2 release date, and is being positioned as the first all audience event film of the fall. With its prior Nov. 25 release date, The Martian was set to debut on the same day as Warner Brother’s Creed and Disney/Pixar’s The Good Dinosaur .
